We are seeking a SEND Curriculum Lead to join our team at a dynamic college. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to lead and transform the educational experience for our students. Day to Day of the role:
  • Lead SEND teaching and learning across the college.
  • Line manage staff teaching on foundation programmes and develop the curriculum in line with college objectives.
  • Manage the operational aspects of the foundation curriculum, ensuring high-quality provision and resource use.
  • Develop post-16 curriculum pathways for SEND learners, personalising to enable them to achieve ambitious outcomes.
  • Implement quality assurance and improvement processes, adhering to internal and external requirements.
  • Use data to monitor, evaluate, and plan improvements.
  • Foster innovation, including the use of new technologies and embedding equality and diversity within the curriculum.
  • Oversee curriculum timetable management and implementation.
  • Manage initial and diagnostic assessments to support learners effectively.
  • Teach up to 10 hours per week as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Full teaching qualification at level 5 or above (SEND).
  • Level 4 in Management in Education.
  • Outstanding planning and delivery of teaching and learning.
  • Experience coordinating SEND provision for young people and adults.
  • Leadership experience and knowledge of internal quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and ensuring the safety of young people and adults.
