This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire and support students in their academic journey. As an English Lecturer, you will have the chance to work with students at various levels, helping them develop essential skills in language and literature, and preparing them for further education or future careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching & Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons, catering to students at different levels.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement assessments to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Student Support: Provide additional support to students, addressing individual learning challenges and ensuring their progress.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of the English curriculum and resources.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, motivating students to excel in their studies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track student progress, ensuring timely intervention to support academic success.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • A teaching qualification (ideally at Level 5 or equivalent).
  • A degree in English or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven experience in teaching English in a Further Education or equivalent educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, language and literature, and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting student achievement.
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
  • Experience teaching a wide range of students, from those needing extra support to high-achieving learners.
