Role: Design Technician

Location: North London

Salary: 24,000-29,000 pa plus annual bonus

Rise10 are working exclusively with a Global Promotional Merchandise business who are a market leader in their field.

They work with leading blue-chip companies and partner with them to become an extension of their team.

An opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in the design and development on products & project by creating detailed design drawings.

Duties:

  • Design Support: Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans using Adobe Illustrator. Assist in the development of prototypes and product models.
  • Adobe Illustrator Proficiency: Utilise Adobe Illustrator to create accurate 2D and vector-based 3D drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Ensure illustrations comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and design specifications with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Sample Development: Work hands-on to build, assemble, and test prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot design issues as they arise.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other technicians, to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in design and engineering. Propose process improvements and innovative solutions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
  • Degree in design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior experience in a design or technical role is preferred.
