We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client as a CMM Programmer. This is a chance to be a part of a leading organisation that is at the forefront of development and innovation in a range of highly regulated industries including motorsport, automotive, defence and aerospace.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive product feature checks using a wide range of measurement equipment.
  • Performing visual inspections of completed products prior to dispatch
  • Reviewing and assessing in-process check records completed by our shop floor staff
  • Assisting Production Operators with the checking of machined parts, both in the inspection area and on the shop floor
  • Analysing CMM reports and your own measurements, escalating any issues to management
  • Identifying and requisitioning appropriate inspection tools to be issued to Production Operators
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area at all times
  • Assisting with product and process audits on the shop floor
  • Supporting the calibration of gauging and updating the calibration records

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • A thorough understanding of measurement techniques, including CMM, Shadow Graph, and other commonly used engineering inspection tools
  • Experience working with PCDMIS Software
  • A positive attitude towards meeting customer deadlines
  • A good understanding of customer and engineering requirements
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills

This role will be in support of highly specialised and qualified products supplied to a global market.
