Our client is looking for an IT Service Operative. The ideal candidate will be passionate about IT either by qualification or hobbies such as gaming. As an IT Service Operative Apprentice at MAG, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. You'll provide technical support, maintain our systems, and ensure the security of our data whilst also gaining a Level 3 qualification.
Working hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Initial 18-month fixed contract.
Initial Salary: 18,000 (Planned annual salary increases)
Location: Stansted

Required Skills and Experience:
- Essential qualifications: Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
- Technical skills: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networks, and security; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Customer focus: Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction; previous customer service experience is desirable.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies; driving license desirable or willingness to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware & software support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software upgrades/issues within our Microsoft environment.
- System performance: Test, evaluate, and address system performance issues.
- Data analysis: Analyse system data to identify performance improvements.
- Task automation: Use basic scripting to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
- Maintenance & security: Conduct routine maintenance and follow strict security procedures to protect sensitive information.
