This role will see the successful candidate accountable for the efficient and effective operation of the Purchasing function, helping to source a range of aircraft parts, materials and related equipment. Within a reactive environment strong organisational skills and brilliant computer literacy are essential.

The Role:
- Purchase a wide range of aircraft parts, materials and related equipment in line with operations procedures and requirements, at the most competitive price
- Timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of parts in line with operational requirements
- Secure material delivery progress by chasing vendors and logistics providers in order to secure aircraft on-time delivery
- Maintain inventory levels within approved guidelines
- Resolve and investigate supply chain errors and examining via root cause analysis
- Create and update daily shortage reports
- Continually improve purchasing methods in a bid to drive down external spends
- Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures for Materials Purchasing and ensuring these are adhered to
- Provide clearance information for the responsible courier / freight forwarder for all imports, within regulations of Customs and Excise
The Person:
- Proven experience in a similar role or purchasing environment
- Experience with logistics and import / export regulations
- Full Clean UK Driving license - due to location
