PAY RATE: £77-£95
LOCATION: Bishop's Stortford / Stanstead
HOURS: 3 to 4 days / full day hours 
CONTRACT: Fixed term, starting 1st September 2024 until 31st August 2025

ABOUT OUR PROVISION: Is an enhanced provision based in West Essex, primarily supporting primary schools within Uttlesford. We offer short-term, intensive intervention to children from Reception-Year 6 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, aiming to reduce exclusions and support their return to mainstream education.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • To work in partnership with the class teacher(s) to support learning in line with the Curriculum, Codes of Practice, and School Policies and Procedures.
  • To work as part of a professional team to support learning activities for classes and/or individual pupils.
  • To lead and deliver whole class, group interventions, or 1:1 sessions to support pupils' learning needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide efficient and effective support for students with additional needs, ensuring their integration within the main Academy.
  • Support students in line with their Education, Health & Care Plans.
  • Work with teaching teams to deliver tailored support and interventions.
  • Assist in managing and encouraging positive behaviours through Trauma Perceptive Practice and de-escalation techniques.
