The Role
As our expert on essential water systems, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing detailed Asset Technical Standards for surface water, drinking water, wastewater, and fire hydrant systems
- Providing technical design assurance for water infrastructure projects
- Contributing to our 25-year strategy and investment planning
- Collaborating with Asset Maintenance teams to assess and optimize asset performance
- Helping establish risk tolerance and objectives for asset condition and expenses
- Supporting the development of elite asset management practices
- Providing expertise on industry-leading approaches to water systems management
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Preferably chartered engineer status
- Minimum 5 years' experience in water services projects
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record in developing comprehensive asset strategies
- Experience in influencing and negotiating at various organizational levels
