MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Location: Stansted

Our client, a market leader, is seeking a qualified Management Accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your excellent understanding of P&L management will enable you to take full ownership of allocated P&L lines, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You will work closely with Regional Finance Managers to resolve queries promptly, demonstrating your strong interpersonal skills. Your commitment to continuous improvement will be evident as you review accounting processes for potential enhancements. With your involvement in the monthly reporting process, you will deliver accurate reports with minimal prior period adjustments. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful completion of all balance sheet reconciliations.

In a nut shell you will:

• Take full ownership of P&L lines ensuring accurate reporting and explain variances month on month.

• Maintain balance sheet accounts.

• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve queries and corrections promptly.

• Assist with the year-end audit.

• Review accounting processes for allocated P&L lines, recommend, and implement improvements where possible.

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of allocated income lines as required.

• Participate in the monthly reporting process.

• Deliver accurate monthly reporting with minimal prior period adjustments.

• Fully own the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations and reporting all risks and opportunities.

Our client is looking for:

• A qualified accountant with recognised accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

• Someone with experience in month-end reporting.

• A candidate with a strong understanding of P&L management and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Someone with the ability to take full ownership of P&L lines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills & stakeholder management.

• Commitment to continuous improvement in accounting processes.

• Experience in conducting ad-hoc analysis of income lines as required.

• Proven ability to participate effectively in the monthly reporting process.

• Track record of delivering accurate monthly reports.

• Experience in managing end-to-end accounting processes.
