My client is a highly successful and listed multi-site Leisure business head quartered in Bishops Stortford. The business is currently experiencing growth and as such is seeking to strengthen its finance team with a Finance Business Partner ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA). As part of a well-established team the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to develop and enhance their skills and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, as well as live reporting on outturn position.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly Management Information to pre-determined timescales, including variance analysis and commentary (e.g. Period Actual v Budget, YTD Actual V Budget, Period Actual v Prior Year, YTD Actual V Prior Year).
- Detailed review of overhead P&L accounts on a monthly basis, leading to the identification of risks and opportunities.
- Ensure overheads are reported in the correct cost categories.
- Management of £200 million cost base
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, through regular reviews to aid and increase understanding of their business areas and make challenges where appropriate.
- Identify areas of cost overspend / potential cost savings
- Business partnering with operations
Requirements:
- Experience of managing annual and quarterly budgets
- Experience of managing cost categories and cost centres through month end including accruals
- ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Excellent Excel skills
- Willingness to take ownership of numbers and ability to manage own workload
- Experience and confidence to build and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to deal with people at different levels
- A self-starter who is able to manage and prioritise deadlines as well as manage expectations upwards.
