We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join a highly successful Freight company in their new and expanding department. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Customer Service who are adept at building connections with clients, shipping lines, and suppliers. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:- Coordinate the entire booking process from start to finish with clients, shipping lines, and suppliers.
- Monitor shipments, keeping clients informed throughout the booking process.
- Produce necessary documents for the department, including booking confirmations, shipping notes, Bills of Lading, and instructions to the lines.
- Arrange customs entries, VGMs, and other relevant procedures to ensure smooth shipment of cargo.
- Engage with clients directly, handling queries and finding solutions as needed, with support and training provided.
- Strong customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to quickly build effective relationships with clients, shipping lines, and suppliers.
- Experience in coordinating logistics or similar roles is advantageous but not essential as training is provided.
- Proactive and eager to contribute to a new and growing department.
- Competitive salary range of £24,000 - £28,000.
- Standard working hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- On-site parking (drivers essential due to location).
