Job Type: Part-time – 24 hours per week (3 days a week, 08:00 – 16:30)

The Role:

To carry out non-technical administrative tasks within the Engineering Department supporting the Stansted base. To provide administrative Technical Services departmental support as appropriate.

Principle Accountabilities:

To provide an administrate support role within the Engineering department (Stansted) to include but not limited to:

  • Completion of attendance reporting for the MD’s office and correct input & completion of the Attendance sheets (PAR Sheets)/ Edays inputting, to include O/T reporting.
  • The control and approved issue/reconciliation of petty cash.
  • Process purchase orders through suppliers for non-aircraft related items and source the best possible value for these items. This will be completed using the Therefore system.
  • Provide to engineering, reports on routine basis, to include such things as daily man hour booking reporting, Aircraft maintenance input summaries.
  • Liaise with on-site base customers to ensure office cleaning is completed and any issues are brought to the Managers attention.
  • Control, administration & ordering of stationary, uniforms, overalls and PPE work wear across the Engineering department.
  • Liaise with HAL Facilities department to Control Engineering Asset listing and post inspection maintenance requirements in conjunction with relevant EM/Hangar Superintendent.
  • Assisting with Engineering training for bookings and other arrangements as required. 
  • To attend and take/distribute minutes for Engineering type meetings as required.
  • Aircraft records archive management. Ensuring company processes are followed to ensure aircraft maintenance work packs are digitally stored to the required standards.
  • Customer work pack/ documentation shipping management.
  • Any additional tasks with fall under the administration role that ensures the smooth and effective running of the Engineering Department at all locations.
  • Perform other duties delegated by Engineering Manager / Engineering Director

The Hours:

24 hrs per week.  The general working hours will be 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30 minute break for lunch. You are expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and work demand.

Occasional travel to other Company locations may be required.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Desirable experience – Business / General Aviation / Airline 
  • IT Literacy (Word / Excel)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • If not first language, English must be spoken / written to a Fluent standard
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and effective recording systems
