Our client are based in lovely offices near Stansted, with great public transport links. Due to business growth they are recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join their small team.
  • Supplier Relationship management, negotiation and supplier benchmarking, Develop project procurement strategies and schedules.
  • Ensure project requirements are met and best value deals are negotiated to meet and exceed savings targets
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners;
  • Develop and Implement supply chain strategies and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities;
  • Manage all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation and preparation of contracts in line with the proposed strategy;
  • Ensuring materials are delivered to site on time in line with programme of works
  • Liaising with site manager, estimating teams, contracts managers and directors on a daily basis to ensure smooth running of projects.
  • Assisting Estimating department with pricing new tenders, offering VE options and solutions
  • Provide expertise, advice and guidance on procurement matters.
Must have a background in construction. 28 days holiday + Christmas shut down8-5pm Mon to Thurs8-4 Friday1 hour lunch
