Reed are now supporting a highly successful Freight company in their search for an Operations Coordinator to join their new department, training is on offer for the right individual.
You will be quick at building connections with clients, shipping lines and suppliers, if you come from a Customer Service background that would be ideal.
Key skills we are looking for are, good customer service, high level of attention to detail, and good spoken and written English.
You will be assisting with container shipments worldwide, engaging with clients, dealing with queries where possible and finding answers if you are not sure, help, training and support are available. and duties will include;
- Coordinating the bookings from the start to finish with the clients, shipping lines & suppliers
- Monitoring the shipments with the lines & keeping the clients up to date throughout the booking process
- Producing the relevant documents for the department i.e. booking confirmations, shipping notes, Bills of Lading & instructions to the lines
- Able to arrange customs entries, VGM’s & other relevant procedures to ensure the cargo is shipped
As mentioned, this is a new department that is expanding, there is definitely potential to develop and expand into other areas, it’s an exciting time to join this business.
Benefits include;
- Salary £24,000 - £28,000
- Working hours, 9.00am – 17.30pm
