Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager with expertise in flat roof & cladding. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring the efficient and safe installation of flat roofing systems, and leading a team of contractors and workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the installation of flat roofing systems on construction sites.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety standards, building regulations, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
- Maintain strict quality control procedures and ensure high standards of work.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of contractors and laborers, including performance management and safety protocols.
- Manage project documentation, including health and safety reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager in flat roofing or construction (minimum 3 years).
- In-depth knowledge of flat roof systems and related materials.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card (Construction Site Safety Certification) is essential.
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification is also essential.
- First Aid at Work certification is advantageous.
- Full UK driving license.
