Shift Team Leader - Permanent
Salary - £25.5k
Location - Ilkeston
Hours - Mon - Fri 2:15pm - 10:15pm
Purpose of the Shift Team Leader role:
Our client is looking for a skilled Afternoon Shift Team Leader to supervise a small team, overseeing daily operations and leading a team to success. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth shifts, maintaining quality standards, and providing excellent customer service. Your leadership will be essential in driving productivity and creating a positive work environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the packing processes.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Shift Team Leader:
- Supervise and coordinate team members during shifts to ensure efficient operations
- Support the production manager with all lines. Assisting on jobs on lines to ensure completed on time.
- To ensure all staff are suitably trained, happy and engaged so that safety is maintained at all times.
- Quality control, Ensuring regular physical checks are done on all production lines. Ensuring high level of care is maintained.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management as required
- Key holder - responsible for securely locking up the factory at the end of the shift
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Shift Team Leader:
- Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff
- Experience in contract packing environment desirable
- Experience of working in BRC approved packing line is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- A keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives
