Purpose of the QHSE Manager Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced QHSE Manager to join their team in Ilkeston. As a key leader within the company, you will be responsible for managing and improving quality, health & safety, and environmental standards. Your expertise with BRC standards and ISO 9001 will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities for a QHSE Manager:

  • Oversee and maintain compliance with BRC standards and ISO 9001 certification.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Manage all aspects of health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to embed a culture of quality and safety across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor and report on QHSE performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.


Key Requirements for a QHSE Manager:

  • Proven experience in a QHSE role.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards and ISO 9001.
  • Excellent understanding of quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing corrective actions.
  • Proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
