Hours: Mon - Fri 40 hours
Salary: Up to £40k DOE
Purpose of the QHSE Manager Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced QHSE Manager to join their team in Ilkeston. As a key leader within the company, you will be responsible for managing and improving quality, health & safety, and environmental standards. Your expertise with BRC standards and ISO 9001 will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities for a QHSE Manager:
- Oversee and maintain compliance with BRC standards and ISO 9001 certification.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
- Manage all aspects of health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Provide training and guidance to staff to embed a culture of quality and safety across the organisation.
- Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and report on QHSE performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Key Requirements for a QHSE Manager:
- Proven experience in a QHSE role.
- Strong knowledge of BRC standards and ISO 9001.
- Excellent understanding of quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in conducting audits and managing corrective actions.
- Proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
