Production Operator – Renewable Energy

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Production Operator to join a leading business in the renewable energy sector at their biomass power station in the Thetford area. As a Production Operator, you will be assisting your team in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the operation of the plant.
As the Production Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out maintenance across the plant using the correct procedures.
- Assisting the Production team leader in the operational activities round the plant.
- Following procedures required from the business’s health and safety.
- Putting together technical reports and ensuring you maintain correct records with the businesses systems.
- Identify faults across the plant and find solutions, ensuring maximum performance of the machinery.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A relevant Engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship etc).
- Ability to work independent and within a team as well as effective flexibility and self-motivation.
- Operations or maintenance experience from a relevant heavy engineering sector (Manufacturing, paper production, agricultural etc)
- Basic maintenance skills (mechanical or electrical)
- Willing to develop and learn new skills
- Willingness to work 12 hours shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
