The Role of a Maintenance Supervisor
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will lead a small team of maintenance fitters responsible for the planned and re-active mechanical maintenance of the Recycling Processing Plant.
- As Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for planning the scheduling of preventative maintenance and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
- As our Maintenance Supervisor you will ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority, limiting down time of the production facility.
- As our Maintenance Supervisor you will create a strong team work ethic and will mentor and motivate others.
The Successful Maintenance Supervisor
- The successful candidate will have a relevant mechanical maintenance background, educated to minimum of HND in an engineering discipline and/or time served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post qualifying.
- The successful Maintenance Supervisor will have experience working in manufacturing, waste management or with heavy plant machinery.
- You will have previous experience of leading and managing maintenance teams.
- You may be at a team leader level looking for the next progressive step in your career.
- Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures.
- A proven history of fault finding and implementation of corrective actions.
- The Successful Maintenance Manager will have good communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment.
- The Successful Candidate will have good IT skills.
