What You'll Be Doing:
* Quality Control - Conduct thorough inspections of fresh produce at arrival and departure points, identifying and documenting any defects or quality issues.
* Logistics Support - Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries, monitoring temperature and storage conditions to maintain product integrity.
* Reporting & Documentation - Prepare detailed quality reports and maintain accurate databases of supplier evaluations and performance metrics.
* Administrative Support - Assist commercial managers with order processing, supplier communications, and updating key documents like purchase orders and delivery schedules.
* Supplier Collaboration - Work closely with commercial managers and suppliers to address quality concerns, providing feedback to drive continuous improvement.
* Team Collaboration - Support the wider quality and operations teams, contributing to initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing product standards.
* Travel Flexibility - Be prepared to visit multiple UK sites as needed - a valid driving license and own vehicle are essential.
* Overseas Visits - Occasional travel to our European offices may be required to oversee and manage incoming consignments.
About you:
* Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing or a food-related degree is required
* Access to your own transport
* Valid passport
