Job Title: Sales Manager 

Location: Newtown, Wales

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Flexibility if needed) 

 

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead a sales team and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a strong understanding of the fastener industry or Engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and experience selling to resellers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales targets.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 sales professionals, including the UK sales team and the export team in Germany.

  • Create individual KPIs for employees and ensure their achievement through effective monitoring and feedback.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, managing several accounts directly.

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base.

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.

  • Follow up on quotes and ensure timely and accurate responses to customers.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing & product development, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management, reporting directly to the Head of Sales.

  • Create a vibrant office environment by introducing competitions and initiatives to motivate the team, utilizing existing scoreboards to boost confidence and performance.

  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and network with potential customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the fastener or manufacturing industry.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyse market data and develop effective sales strategies.

  • Strong customer focus and relationship-building abilities.

  • Experience selling to resellers is highly preferred.

  • Must have a valid driver's license for customer visits.
