Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Book Keeper based in Glasgow.

Working within the finance team your role will be to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities;

  • Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor debtor/creditor balances.
  • Prepare payroll data and manage pension contributions.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns; assist with year-end accounts.
  • Support administrative tasks and maintain data confidentiality.

Experience;

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, experience using Business Central (Dynamics accounts software) is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of VAT and tax compliance.
  • Experience in working with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; strong communication skills.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels.
  • AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent; industry experience is a bonus.
  • Enjoys working as part of team.
