The Role:Our client is seeking a team oriented Qualified or Part Qualified Audit Senior, to join the vibrant Stevenage, Hertfordshire office. You'll ideally have 2 years + of experience and you'll receive training and support alongside long-term and short-term growth opportunities. You'll play an essential role in the audit team, ensuring that audit planning, fieldwork and completion is performed to a sufficient standard, ultimately resulting in the ability for audit reports to be signed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting audits, reporting to seniors and managers.
  • Preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinating client planning with internal departments.
  • Building client and third-party relationships.
  • Leading on-site audit teams, meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Promoting the firm to clients and prospects.
  • Mentoring junior staff.

The Person:

  • CA/ACCA/CA qualified / part-qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute, or equivalent).
  • Recent audit and assurance experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Led external audits from planning to completion under International Standards on Auditing.
  • Prepared accounts per UK GAAP.
  • Independent and team-oriented worker.
  • Strong communicator with senior staff and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Motivated to maintain high-quality service.
  • Knowledgeable about key audit risks and aware of when to seek assistance.
