Financial Controller- Based in South Hertfordshire - c£60,000 P.A. +Bens

Are you looking to work for an established, global company with a prestigious client base where you can have a tangible impact?

Our client has an ethos of creating effective partnerships and you will build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, banks etc. Additionally, you will be an effective finance partner with various areas of the business.

Despite the high-profile, international nature of their business, the company has an exceptionally personal SME feel, and this role will work very closely with the highly credible, knowledgeable and supportive senior leadership team.

Given the size of the group finance function, you will need to have a pragmatic approach to hands-on, day-to-day requirements, whilst also demonstrating a commercial attitude, providing analysis and an awareness of the 'bigger picture’.

Working closely with the engaging CFO, you will be responsible for producing the accounts for one of the well-known brands within their stable on both a UK and European basis.

As well as the management and financial accounting requirements, you need to be pragmatic regarding the day-to-day duties that are inevitable within a family-run, growth business.

Therefore, you will be heavily involved in the transactional elements of the business such as AR, stock and sales reporting, payroll duties as well as month end tasks and revenue budgeting.

About You

* You need to have relevant accounting experience with a professional qualification.* You will need to have a background demonstrating a commercial focus and an awareness of the bigger picture.* An SME, 'can-do’, hands-on mindset.* A background within fashion or Audit would help accelerate the learning process.* Strong communication skills and an ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Based in modern and well positioned offices in the South Hertfordshire, this role offers an opportunity to develop strong relationships with many of the senior stakeholders of the business.
