Jacob Grey are delighted to partner with a growing SME in Stevenage to recruit a new Financial Controller.

This business has delivered tremendous growth and success over the last few years. Our client is keen to appoint a commercially minded FC who can help maximise their potential during the next phase of their journey. Reporting to the Board of Directors your duties will include:

- Managing a team of 8 people

- Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Accounts

- Balancesheet reconciliations and P&L production

- Producing budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the board

- Management of Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger/VAT/Bank recs

- Commercial analysis including sales/margin analysis and cost base analysis — all aimed at maximising profit

- Liaising with external accountants

- Additional office management duties as and when required

- Adhering to company best practices, policies and ISO

The ideal candidate MUST be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), have a demonstrable track record in similar roles, good Excel skills, and should be passionate about helping drive a small business to the next level.On offer is a market leading basic salary, full healthcare, some flexibility around hours, and the opportunity to work for a genuinely supportive, ambitious and passionate Board of Directors.
