The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of a specialist Food Manufacturing business with offices in Stevenage.

The Role

As Financial Controller you will work closely with he site and senior leadership team to deliver accurate and up to date information on business performance and objectives. Day to day duties will consist of:

  • Ensure that effective controls and procedures are in place across the whole business to provide a framework for accountability, control, review and measurement
  • Deliver financial analysis in line with Group standards
  • Full Ownership of site P&L and to ensure Financial objectives are achieved
  • To actively support and provide financial analysis for new projects and product launches.
  • To actively interact and work with the manufacturing teams to perform controls and analysis of actual performance vs standards
  • To develop and maintain a standard cost card template in line with Group guidance
  • To prepare cost cards in line with sales and operations information, and challenge the managers to deliver the expected business growth and profitability
  • To actively control the inventory process and implement any relevant action within the operations to reduce the stock variances.
  • Analyse the business performance, to prepare budgetary/forecasting information and to develop our cost accounting.
  • Team Management

Your Profile

You will ideally be a Qualified Accountant and have previous experience within a Manufacturing (ideally food) setting and with the ability to work across a multi-site setting. This is an excellent role for an individual local Stevenage and commutable from Bedford, Luton, Hitchin and surrounding areas.
