Financial Controller - £80,000 - £90,000 + Superb Benefits - West Hertfordshire Area

Are you an ambitious, commercially astute, qualified Accountant currently working within a service sector?

Do you have strong communication skills and staff development and management experience?

If so, this opportunity will enable you to make a tangible difference to an established, driven and commercially astute business.

The business have a highly experienced, credible and respected senior management team, who will work closely with you to ensure development for both yourself and the company.

You will be overseeing, developing and coaching a Finance Team and getting heavily involved in ensuring there is a robust structure to support commercial decision making.

With future growth underway, you will be joining the business at a key stage. Therefore a confidence in your own ability, a proven history of driving improvements and excellent communication skills are essential to your success.

As well as having a pragmatic, hands-on approach, you will need an inquisitive mindset that ensures you look beyond the numbers to challenge how to effectively use the information produced by the Finance Function. A proven ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels and demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen is essential for this opportunity.

This is a fast-paced environment with a highly collaborative approach to their working style and the ability to work in this manner and ensure 'team-fit’ is a key criteria.

The business is run by intelligent, challenger-type personalities meaning that you will need to be a sharp and strong collaborator.

The growth plans are ambitious and it is vital that you will have the drive to match the management team. Whilst the pace of growth and expectations of the SLT will be high, the personal development opportunities and job satisfaction, as well as the ability to have a direct impact on the business, will ensure that you increase your commercial acumen, your network and develop your ability to have a positive and tangible impact.

Duties include:

• Responsible for monthly management accounts for all revenue streams and across all international sites, with autonomy to put own stamp on reporting methods

• Providing monthly/long-term P&L, cash flow and balance sheet forecasting and modelling

• Relevant, high volume environment experience and controls/systems knowledge

• Implementing further improvements and structure within the finance team to support the businesses growth plans

• Create a continuous improvement framework, ensuring that models are accurate
