Part Qualified Management Accountant

Part Qualified Management Accountant | Stevenage | Hybrid

SRM has teamed up with a fast-growing, innovative company. As they expand, they’re on the hunt for an experienced Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team.

• Produce and deliver monthly management accounts and commentary within agreed timescales.
• Substantiate and prepare journals for WIP, deferred income, accruals, and prepayments.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of monthly accounts and challenge forecasts.
• Present past and future performance at monthly senior management team meetings.
• Handle budgeting and forecasting.
• Conduct P&L reviews with business stakeholders.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary.
• Analyse profitability by contract and job.
• Conduct regular WIP and debt reviews.
• Support the year-end audit by providing schedules and addressing auditor queries.
• Oversee the end-to-end billing process to ensure accuracy.
• Document all processes within the area of responsibility for corporate compliance.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and other reasonable duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this Part Qualified Management Accountant role will be a trainee accountant eager to learn and enhance their skills. As a Business Partner to the division, you will have the opportunity to develop both technical and soft skills. The preferred candidate will also possess the following skills and attributes:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• 2-3 years in a corporate finance role
• Excel expert with top-notch analytical skills
• Confident self-starter
• Detail-oriented
• Intuitive
• Strong communicator with the guts to challenge
