Our client a market leader in the Renewable Energy Sector, seek a Senior Management Accountant to join the Asset Management Team. The AM Finance Department is experiencing significant growth, now managing over 150+ companies with a team of 21 across 10 clients. With rapid onboarding timelines and increasing client demands for additional scope and ad-hoc tasks, they need to standardise and improve processes for maximum efficiency. You will work closely with Management Accountants to automate and simplify processes.

The Asset Management Department oversees wind farms, solar, and storage plants in the UK and Ireland on behalf of clients, providing technical, financial, and commercial asset management services. The finance team ensures commercial, financial, and statutory compliance for lenders and asset owners (internal and third-party) and supports the wider Asset Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lender Management:Update bank models, prepare loan covenant compliance, and ensure all obligations are met.
  • Financial Review:Review monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and variance analysis as needed.
  • Process Improvement:Support complex finance tasks and consolidations, creating templates to automate and simplify processes in collaboration with Client Finance Leads.
  • Management Accounts:Prepare management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting templates tailored to client needs.
  • Due Diligence:Assist in the due diligence process for buy or sell activities, ensuring timely and quality information delivery.
  • Onboarding:Integrate new projects into the asset management portfolio.
  • Continuous Improvement:Support ongoing enhancements to accounting and reporting processes with the Finance and ERP Development teams.
  • Contract Review:Review financial obligations in contracts, prepare contract summaries as needed.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks:Execute additional tasks to meet changing business needs and departmental objectives.
  • Client Interaction:Serve as a key finance contact for external clients, delivering high-quality service.

Requirements:

  • Newly qualified accountant with an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or similar.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to the financial activities and requirements of various legal entities.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with Management Accountants and Finance Leads.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101 and UK GAAP desirable.
  • Quick learner - grasp the needs of department very quickly with minim supervision
  • Proactive, 'can do' attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement of reporting and analysis.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence and credibility to communicate to external parties.
  • A team player but with the discipline to work autonomously.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
