A leading and growing Accountancy Firm are looking to appoint an ambitious ATT qualified Tax Assistant to join their Tax team based in Hertfordshire, very close to the station, the role is office based with the potential to work from home 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Request Tax Return information from the client or relevant parties
- Take ownership of and generate Tax Returns for a diverse client base
- Advise clients of their UK tax positions - including updating clients on when tax payments are due
- Assist with drafting corporation tax returns and advising clients regarding corporation tax planning matters
- Drafting P11Ds for clients
- Liaise with HMRC as appropriate
- Assist with tax investigation matters
- Assisting on advisory projects and other ad-hoc matters as required
Skills & Experience:
- ATT Qualified
- Practical and varied personal and technical tax knowledge
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Numerate and analytical with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- IT literate (Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams)
Desirable:
- Experience with CCH
- Would like to progress to studying CTA
- Previous experience in a client facing role
