Based Stevenage, Hertfordshire our award-winning client are looking for a Treasury Accountant to join their growing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis after successful training and induction, with 2-3 days per week based onsite.

This role is ideal for someone who has a thorough understanding of banking regulations and procedures. The position involves managing and overseeing daily accounting operations within the Banking Team, including tasks such as preparing and recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and generating financial reports.

The successful individual will have experience of working in a fast paced, target driven financial environment with proficiency with general ledger accounting and financial systems. They will have a logical and analytical approach, with excellent attention to detail and time management capabilities. You must possess an advanced level of numeracy and IT skills, especially Excel. The ideal candidate will be a confident and influential communicator, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.

Job responsibilities:

  • Organise banking documents and complete month-end procedures,
  • Reconcile daily bank accounts for receivables and payables.
  • Prepare monthly journals to address banking discrepancies.
  • Review and report on financial inconsistencies within banking operations.
  • Manage cash flow
  • Provide weekly analysis and reports on outstanding data.
  • Prepare and review financial records for bank accounts and treasury reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts with the general ledger and manage related paperwork.
  • Transfer bank transactions to the internal system and post cash book entries.
