Accounts Assistant
Berkhamsted (Office-based with occasional work-from-home days)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (up to 12 months)
We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing company based in Berkhamsted. This role offers the flexibility of occasional remote working days but is mostly working from their office 9am-5pm. The role is full time, but part time hours could be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Sage accounting software. (ideallly),
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
