Your new companyHays is working with a local government organisation, looking for a temporary Housing Business Support Assistant to join the team.Your new roleAs a Business support Assistant, you will provide proactive and high-quality administrative support across all teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to internal and external communications within set deadlines.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general and tenant enquiries.
  • Creating and updating housing register applications.
  • Taking telephone payments for various charges.
  • Raising purchase orders and processing payment requests.
  • Processing data related to housing management functions.
  • Scanning, indexing, and distributing housing-related documents.
  • Handling post and inbox duties.
  • Monitoring and ordering stationery and cleaning supplies for Supported Housing stock.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with both internal and external customers,
  • Use your initiative to handle enquiries and solve problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in administrative support and data processing.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
