This is a newly created position to support the current Head of Finance, who you will report into. The role is a part time position for 30 hours per week, and would be a fully remote role, however ad hoc travel will be required to the office based in Stevenage.
As the incoming Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Management of the accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with budget preparation
- Preparing VAT returns
- Fixed asset register management
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
As the successful applicant for this role, you will previous experience working in a similar level accounts role, with good knowledge of all round accounting principles. You will also be comfortable working in a remote setting. Other desirable attributes you will display include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise your workload efficiently
- Organised in your working approach
