Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mobile Domestic Gas Engineer covering Stevenage and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing domestic gas appliances, ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team and receive a competitive salary of £45,000, with door-to-door pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, installation, and repairs on domestic gas appliances
- Conduct gas safety checks and issue gas safety certificates.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on gas appliances, safety, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant gas safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Ensure excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Work efficiently and independently, managing a full schedule of jobs.
- Communicate effectively with the office team and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Be on-call for emergency breakdowns as required (with additional call-out pay).
Key Skills & Experience:
- Valid Gas Safe certification.
- Proven experience in domestic gas engineering (servicing, fault finding, installations, and repairs).
- Knowledge of domestic heating systems and appliances.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full UK driving license and the ability to travel across the service area.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both with customers and colleagues.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
