Role Overview:As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with 150-200 small accounts. Your main responsibility will be client retention, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional IT and telecom services. You will be the main point of contact for your clients, so excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of 150-200 small accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication and service updates.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional IT, telecom, and managed service solutions to clients based on their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for improving customer service and increasing account value.
  • Resolve client queries and issues promptly, liaising with internal teams where necessary.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and ensure they are maximising the value of the services provided.
  • Achieve quarterly sales and retention targets, contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven experience in account management, internal sales, or client retention, ideally within the IT or telecoms industry.
  • Strong ability to upsell and cross-sell, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts effectively.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients, becoming a reliable point of contact.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
