Ellis Mason have partnered exclusively with a well established business based in Royston to help them find an INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER .
A minimum of 5 years experience is required within either a sales or account management role. Most of the customers are UK based however there are some international customers and this is likely to increase in the future.
Who is the right person? We are looking for someone who wants to grow in the future and potentially evolve into a management role. If you are driven and capable, the idea is that you will have a Sales Manager working for you in the future.
Currently the international clients are based in Europe, however the future plan is to expand into the US. 90% of your time is spent working on the UK based client base.
We require someone close enough to the Hertfordshire office to be based there a couple of days a week, with the rest of the week being spent working from home and on UK customer visits.
You will be in attendance of meetings that will have high level board managers and therefore must be confident in how you hold yourself and communicate with these high-level decision makers.As the INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER you will work closely with members of your small but experienced team. You will also work very closely with the Managing Director and the Sales Director, most likely attending high-level client visits with them.
THE SALARY & BENEFITS- Generous salary of £45,000-£55,000 dependent on experience
- Small annual bonus given by company
- Monday to Friday office hours of 9am-5pm with 30 mins lunch on a permanent, full time basis

The main duties included within the role of the INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER , are:
- Working on the branded and bespoke side of the business, you will manage customers who require these specialist products
- The majority of your time will be spent managing a customer base that are within England & Wales, however there is a major European client that you will assist in supporting and there are plans for this to grow considerably
- You will offer the businesses branding and design services and therefore will work closely with the in-house team members to ensure these needs are met effectively
- Approximately, 2 days a week you will book visits with your portfolio of clients in the UK, and when required there will be international travel to different countries and territories in which your international client operates
- Creating presentations and presenting these both live and and virtually
- Consistently anticipating the needs of your customers, offering a superior level of service and therefore increasing the amount of repeat orders
- Offering advice and knowledge on the design aspects and the possible complexities involved in each order
- Effectively advising of timelines and keeping your customers up to date at all times
- Working closely with the order management team to ensure sales orders, quotations, delivery lead times, etc are effectively executed
- Confidently discussing prices and negotiating when required
- Offering a strong after-sales service
- Working with colleagues to obtain sample sign off and packaging where necessary
- Working with the Shipping Manager to ensure that orders are despatched when they are due, in line with customers expectations
- Creating and updating reports on all key customer order status'
- Developing professional, trusting and long lasting relationships with each of your accounts
- Responding efficiently to requests for information
- Learning the customers brand portfolios and the products that they are supplying
