National Sales Manager - FMCG

Hertfordshire office based with occasional international travel

£50k - £55k DOE

This role is for a results-driven sales, key account or national account manager within the fmcg industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large national accounts, larger retailers, distributors and key accounts, driving sales growth and having the ability to build strong relationships. Our client is a well-established brand within the fmcg industry with an impressive global reach and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products! Due to exceptional growth, we hiring a sales professional to join their vibrant and ambitious team as they continue on their road map to expand their brand globally!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key national accounts, including large retailers and distributors, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Customise solutions to fit client needs and negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotions to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, upsell new product developments, and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Research and develop new business leads and market opportunities and drive growth in competitive markets.
  • Regularly meet with clients to ensure brand alignment, attend industry events and exhibitions, and engage in online interactions to strengthen partnerships.

Profile

A successful candidate for this role National Account Manager role should have:

  • Experience as a Sales Manager, Key Account Manager or National Account Manager managing large accounts and driving business growth within the fmcg space.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Experience in working with international markets, particularly within Europe and global distributors.
  • Ability to travel internationally for client meetings, events, and industry exhibitions, and passion for all sports!
  • Experience driving revenue growth through strategic account management, upselling, and market development.
