Salary: Circa £65,000 – 70,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage or Bristol (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship .

The opportunity:We are delighted to open an exciting opportunity to join the Programmes Export Operations (PExO) Directorate as an Senior Export Contract Management and be part of a growing team delivering a comprehensive export contract portfolio to Poland.
This senior contract leadership role will report to the Group Head of Export Contract Management (Poland) for the delivery of a set of diverse export contracts to the Poland customer.
In this high profile and influential role, the Senior Export Contract Management will demonstrate commercial, financial and project management skills to lead and deliver multiple extant and future MBDA UK export contracts. The role has a strong potential development route
The role involves:- Lead the commercial interface into the customer up to 1* level for contract delivery on behalf of MBDA.
- Deliver the contract schedule to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction whilst fostering long standing customer relationships.
- Manage a coherent and consistent communications plan into the customer, government and industrial partners
- Collaborative working with the MBDA internal technical and programme delivery teams to optimise schedule adherence, minimise risk and ensure contractual obligations are achieved
- Provide contract leadership for all commercial and financial aspects including managing international finance instruments, customer invoicing and timely contractual payments
- Lead and manage customer acceptance events and transport delivery solutions, including security and licensing aspects with the customer
- Anticipate and proactively resolve contract delivery issues to protect and maintain MBDA's business interests and international reputation.
- Lead contract amendment negotiations as well as supporting Sales & Business Development to acquire new international business from current and new customers.
- Act as Business Bid Authority (BBA) to ensure robust commercial offerings for complex bids and contracting schemes with international customers
- Lead MBDA UK collaborative engagements with MBDA national companies (NATCO) to deliver Inter Company Trading export contracts.
- Leadership, influencing and relationship management skills required to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to define, communicate and implement strategic intent with experience of operating in complex political environments
- You are an experienced manager who has led contract delivery in both the bid and execution phases, with a strong commercial acumen ideally within an international defence environment
- You will need to have a high degree of self-motivation and drive with the ability work independently and as part of a team.
- You will have effective interpersonal and communications skills and an open, confident and clear leadership style.
- Experience of people management in a leadership role as well as experience leading internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in a Business Bid Authority role authorising commercially robust bid submissions as well as assessing business opportunities and risks.
- Proven knowledge and experience of interfacing with Corporate Functions; new business; finance; legal; customer support; export control; quality; shipping; engineering; corporate compliance.
