Senior Export Contract Manager

Location: Stevenage or Bristol (Relocation package available)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Export Contract Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse export contract portfolio to a key international customer. This high-profile role involves managing complex contracts, fostering strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional results. It offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your commercial, financial, and project management expertise in an international context. Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial interface with the customer, ensuring contractual delivery and long-term satisfaction.
  • Oversee contract schedules, minimise risks, and ensure adherence to obligations in collaboration with internal technical and delivery teams.
  • Manage all financial aspects, including international finance instruments, invoicing, and payments.
  • Lead customer acceptance events and logistics, including licensing and security aspects.
  • Anticipate and resolve contractual issues while protecting business interests and reputation.
  • Negotiate contract amendments and support new business development initiatives.
  • Act as Business Bid Authority, ensuring robust commercial offerings for complex bids.

  • Proven leadership and relationship management skills with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing contracts in both bid and execution phases, ideally in an international defence environment.
  • Ability to define and implement strategic plans within complex political environments.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a confident leadership style.
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and acting in a Business Bid Authority role.
  • Knowledge of corporate functions, including finance, legal, customer support, and export control.
