We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join a thriving multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to advance their career by gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment, working on a variety of exciting and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities for this Structural Engineering role:
- Assist in designing and analysing structural systems across diverse building types, including residential and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure successful project delivery from initial concept to completion.
- Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to achieve project goals.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Develop innovative solutions to address structural challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:To succeed in this Structural Engineering role, you should have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Ideally 3-4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- A passion for learning and developing within the structural engineering field.
