Building Surveyor

Sellick Partnership are supporting the recruitment of Building Surveyor on an interim basis. The Building Surveyor will provide professional Building Surveying services ensuring that public buildings, residential garages, including leisure, commercial, community and park buildings etc are compliant, and all assets are repaired and maintained in a good state of repair and are fit for purpose.

The Key Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor will include:

  • Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, schedule of works for tendering / quotations. This shall also include the contract conditions, preliminaries, and schedule of works.
  • Contract Administration of projects, issuing certificates as required under the contract, issuing variation orders, certifying contract payments and Final Accounts. This will also include visiting site ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documentation.
  • Preparing budget estimates, costs and outline specifications during the design process.
  • Identify building defects and provide recommendations for repair, preparing estimates as required.

The essential requirements of the Building Surveyor will include:

  • Chartered building surveyor
  • Track record of instructing and overseeing repairs and health and safety works
  • Experience of managing and client contracts
  • Track record of compliance works and the capital programme
