  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in conducting HHSRS inspections within a local authority setting.
  • The contract is for 12 months with a salary dependent on experience, and the start date is ASAP.

One of my local authority clients based in the Home Counties are on the lookout for an interim Housing Standards Officer to support their team.

You will be required on site 2/3 days per week with the remaining days working from home.

Day-to-day duties

1) Conduct HHSRS property inspections.

2) Carry out necessary enforcement actions on both CAT 1 & CAT 2 hazards inline with the Housing Act 2004.

3) HMO inspections and related licensing.

There is an expectancy to hit the ground running therefore recent previous experience conducting HHSRS inspections (minimum 2 years) within a local authority setting is essential.

Additional duties:

Contract: 12 Months
Rate: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 p/w
