Have you recently graduated with a Psychology degree or a very experienced SEN Teaching Assistant and are wanting to take the next steps in your career?!!

This SEN school is looking is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates to provide first class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, ADHD, and communication difficulties, Down syndrome and some speech, language and communication needs.

This School Mental Health Assistant role is an ideal opportunity if you aspire to have a career focussed on Counselling, Men Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or looking at elements of social care for example.

You will be working closely with the clinical team within the school.

Job Title: School Mental Health Assistant

Location: Stevenage

Salary Scale: 460-500 per week

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30

What is required?

  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
  • An interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
  • Local commute to Stevenage
