World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit a Technical Lead Design Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6-month contract.

Contract Duration: 6 months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)Location: Stevenage - HYBRIDInterview: 1 stage - Virtual

Job Overview:You will use your experience to support circuit design, prototyping, testing and integration/design proving of hardware needed for motor control, feedback loops and general control system support during flight.

Your role will cover activities from early feasibility and technology assessments through to certification and supporting transition to production. You will operate in all stages of the product lifecycle, ensuring products meet quality, cost and rate targets by working closely with wide ranging stakeholders as part of multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:* Responsible for cost, schedule, quality, and performance of tasks within their skill domain, reporting to the Engineering Project Manager.* Develop technical solutions in collaboration with other skill domains.* Coordinate and manage resources to deliver project tasks within their area of expertise.* Apply relevant development methods and processes.* Develop strategies for qualification, testing, and certification.* Support and coordinate technical problem-solving and analysis.* Provide validated schedule and cost estimates for tasks, reviewed by their line manager.
