Job Title: Conveyancing Paralegal
Location: Hertfordshire (Commutable from Watford, Elstree, Luton, Aylesbury, Tring, Berkhamsted, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hemel Hempstead)
Job Type: Part -Time (3 days a week), site-based initially moving to hybrid
Salary: £25k - £35k p/annum, dependant on experience pro rata
Reed Legal is recruiting for a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancing Paralegal for a law firm who specialise in property and private client practice. The successful candidate will support conveyancing solicitors in managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
This is a part- time role, suitable for an independently able, solidly experienced, residential conveyancing paralegal - able to hold a caseload with some support or work with others on a joint caseload - 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents related to property transactions.
- Conduct title searches and review title reports.
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
- Draft contracts, transfer deeds, and other legal documents.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle post-completion matters, including registration of title and payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax.
- Provide general administrative support to the conveyancing team.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in conveyancing
- A paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification.
- Strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
