Job Description: They are seeking a skilled Residential Conveyancer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of residential conveyancing from instruction to completion.
  • Manage a caseload of freehold and leasehold transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct title checks and searches, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on property-related matters.
  • Maintain and update case management systems and client records.
  • Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering regulations and other compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 3 years PQE in residential conveyancing.
  • Thorough knowledge of freehold and leasehold conveyancing processes.
  • Excellent client care, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using case management software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience with new builds and shared ownership schemes.
  • Familiarity with Help to Buy mortgages and ISAs.
  • Business development skills and a network of professional contacts.
