About the RoleWe are seeking an Algorithm Development Lead to join our Guidance, Control, and Navigation team. You will lead the development of advanced algorithms for next-generation weapon systems, contributing to all stages of the product lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to steer technical activities, grow your team, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders and customers.Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the Stevenage algorithm development team and shape its technical direction.
  • Develop and maintain onboard algorithms for guidance, control, and navigation systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Simulation, Image Processing, and Systems Design.
  • Act as the key point of contact for partners and customers on algorithm-related activities.
  • Explore innovative technologies and their applications in complex systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and inspiring approach.
  • Experience in algorithm development and associated tools.
  • Background in a subject with mathematical content (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
  • Knowledge of domains such as Guidance, Navigation, Control Systems, or Autonomous Systems is advantageous.
  • A degree qualification or equivalent experience; post-doctoral or industrial experience is beneficial.
