Commercial Property Assistant – HertfordSalary: Up to £30,000Join a dynamic and fast-paced Commercial Property team in Hertford! We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Commercial Property Assistant to support our busy department.About the Role: As a Commercial Property Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team with a variety of legal and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to develop their career in a thriving legal environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct client communication to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
  • File openings, including terms of business, AML checks, and case management system data entry (Liberate).
  • Obtaining documents from the Land Registry and Companies House.
  • Submitting searches and collating required legal documents.
  • Liaising with solicitors, lenders, and agents.
  • Preparing completion statements and engrossment documents, arranging client signings.
  • Handling post-exchange and post-completion matters, including some matter completions.
  • Processing CHAPS and BACS payments, ensuring verification of account details.
  • Drafting and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax forms.
  • Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications.
  • File closures and general administrative duties.
  • Conducting monthly matter reviews and preparing bills.
  • Managing telephone correspondence with clients, agents, and third parties.
  • Preparing deeds schedules and coordinating deed storage.
